Queensland’s preeminent art awards, the Brisbane Rotary Art Show, will once again support local charities while providing a tremendous platform for artists.
David Frost from Rotary Club of Paddington said: “The Brisbane Rotary Art Show isn’t just an art prize. It’s all about community. Not only does this show create a platform to exhibit talented artists in front of a large audience, but it supports some wonderful local organisations!”
Returning to the CBD’s Central Plaza One foyer for the 44th year, this prestigious event connects art with purpose, with funds raised from the event going towards organising Rotary clubs, Rotary Club of Brisbane High Rise and Rotary Club of Paddington, and charities Youngcare and Coffee Brigade.
The show has raised over $2.5 million for Brisbane Rotary community projects and local charity partners, and this year’s show will see Rotary raise even more for worthwhile causes.
Rotary Art Show is a great opportunity for artists to gain recognition and features a $20,000 Best of Show prize.
There will be over 200 artworks displayed from established and emerging artists, with artist registration still open at rotaryart.au/artist-registration.
The show is free to attend and will run from July 20 – 31, and on Sunday, July 26, four exhibiting artists will conduct live demonstrations.
A glamorous Gala Evening Cocktail Party will take place on July 21, promising a night of good company, fine food, and a celebration of Australian art.
