Hamilton’s Portside Wharf, in collaboration with Northshore Brisbane, is ready to swing into the spotlight at Brisbane Festival 2024, transforming the waterfront village with a spectacular light and sound installation, brilliant live music and more.
“Spectrum of Happiness”, an internationally acclaimed interactive installation by Bangkok’s 27June Studio, will headline a vibrant line-up of free events at Portside Wharf from August 30 through September 21.
The interactive swing invites people of all generations to embrace their inner child and experience moments of shared happiness, featuring overhead LED orbs that dance to the rhythm of the swings and illuminate the wharf in a kaleidoscope of colours.
For music lovers of all-stripes, Portside Serenades is bringing rhythm to the riverfront with performances from a variety of artists including hot jazz, swing and blues band Melody Graves and the Hokum Redemption on September 15.
Friday Feels, a series of free pop-up music events will bring live music each Friday from 4pm from August 30 – September 20, each night a different theme: country, kids, pop and world music.
Portside Wharf’s eateries are enhancing the festival experience with exclusive promotions and pop-up delights, including refreshing brews from Gage Roads Brew Co.’s beer van, luxe bubble tea from Temple Boba and the flavours of Italy at Gusto Da Gianni’s pop-up stall.
