The Geranium and Pelargonium Society is celebrating their 75th anniversary on September 5 with a Plant Sale Day.
Doug Smith, a member of the society, said he joined to have access to a wonderful variety of geraniums and pelargoniums and to learn and socialise with like-minded gardening enthusiasts and experts.
“Our group of flower and plant lovers are from all walks of life, and you can see the effects of gardening by the peaceful and happy nature of members,” he said.
The society will be celebrating alongside 37 other garden clubs and invites the public to come along.
The day starts at 10am, promising hundreds of potted plants, gardening workshops, and light refreshments.
The event is hosted near the Albion Peace Hall, under the overpass, and will cost $5 for entry.

“There’ll be great food and soups on sale, raffles, lucky door prizes, workshops from very knowledgeable gardeners, home-made jams and garden supplements to take home,” Mr Smith said.
