Round up! Round up! Welcome to our recap of the Holy Spirit School Spring Fair 2024. It was like stepping into a world of endless fun and adventure. If you missed it, read along to find out about our incredible day!
Entertainment Extravaganza
The 2024 Spring Fair entertainment was amazing! From dancing and singing to wildlife shows and an auction featuring the beautiful artworks created by Holy Spirit School’s students, the day had it all. We kicked off with a spectacular performance by the Little Leapers Dance Studio. Next, we enjoyed a fascinating wildlife show where we learned all about backyard critters. Lyrica, a Year 6 student, then gave a fantastic solo performance that wowed everyone. The day continued with more great performances from our talented students. The petting zoo was a highlight, offering loads of fun as we got to pet and feed a variety of adorable animals. To wrap things up, we had an exciting auction.
Rides at the Spring Fair
There were four amusing rides set up on Villiers Street: Tea Cups, The Tornado, The SUPER SLIDE, and The Miami Trip.
The Tornado: On this ride, you stood up while it spun around, going faster and faster. Sometimes you stopped up high, but most of the time you were spinning.
Tea Cups: There were five tea cups, each a different colour and adorned with little lights. They spun around in a fun, dizzying whirl.
The SUPER SLIDE: You sat on a bag and slid down a bumpy slide. As you bounced on the lumps, you eventually landed on a mat at the bottom.
The Miami Trip: This ride went up in steps. First, it went a little high, then higher, then even higher. The ride repeated this sequence many times.
Each ride offered its own unique thrill, making Villiers Street the place to be for ride enthusiasts!
Spring Fair Feasts
The Spring Fair had an incredible variety of food and drink options! From juicy burgers that were a hit with both kids and adults (seriously, the best burger I’ve had in ages!) to refreshing iced tea, there was something to satisfy every craving.
But that’s not all! You could indulge in mouthwatering Greek dishes, flavourful Mexican food, enjoy savory barbecue, and munch on crispy potato slinkies. Each stall offered its own delicious twist, making the food a highlight of our day.
A big shoutout to our amazing HSS parents and community who volunteered their time at each stall and to make the Spring Fair happen. A special mention for the homemade brownies that were absolutely irresistible and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The variety and quality of food made the Spring Fair a true culinary delight.
