Nundah Festival – “when the community comes together”

The Nundah Festival this year was filled with weird and wonderful characters, music from some talented schoolchildren, and much more on September 8.

Festival co-founder Annie Reid said: “The Festival weekend in Nundah Village is where the Nundah Community comes together.

“The Nundah Festival and Art Show started in 2001, and has run every year since except for two years during Covid, but we picked the ball up and ran with it again.

“It seems to get better with each year, the entertainment is terrific, and all the colourful stalls and food vans just make the day even better, with the stilt walkers and wandering clowns – the kids love it,” she said.

The festival celebrated art in the area with the Art Show in the Isuzu Suzuki Showroom.

“It was a great night with winning artists, plus 24 artists were able to sell their paintings,” Ms Reid said.

“This of course would never happen without out wonderful sponsors: Norris Motor Group, Brisbane City Council, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Gardner Vaughan Group, Belle Property Nundah, &Gray Nundah, Keyton Retirement Villages, Royal Hotel, Northside Art Supplies, Ian Mogridge, St Patrick’s College, and Adriana Tulloh, for which we thank them,” she said.
