We congratulate Hamilton Ward Councillor Julia Dixon on the recent birth of her baby Sophie and share this message from her:
I’m delighted to announce the safe arrival of my daughter, Sophie. She was born on 2 January weighing 3430g (7lb 9oz).
Our hearts are filled with joy and love as we welcome our little girl into the world!
We’re both doing great and are being well looked after by my husband and son who is a very proud big brother.
I thank the many locals for their kind words and messages of congratulations.
I will be spending some time with my family during this important occasion.
However, the Hamilton Ward office will reopen at 9am on Monday 13 January following the Christmas holiday.
I am excited to continue to serve local residents again in 2025.
I look forward to being back working with the community and particularly excited to officiate the annual Citizenship Ceremony with the Rotary Club of Hamilton on 26 January.
