If you have been for a stroll along Racecourse Road recently, you may have noticed some colourful artwork on display as part of measures to revitalise the precinct.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said: “Racecourse Road was one of the first precincts to take part in our Growing Precincts Together program, which is helping to raise the profile of this much-loved suburban precinct and providing hands-on support to local businesses.
“Since the program started last year, we’ve rolled out a range of initiatives including a new website featuring all Racecourse Road businesses, one-on-one business workshops and the transformation of vacant shopfronts with temporary art.
“Importantly, the program is creating opportunities for business owners to connect with each other as well as their customers and more details on a month-long activation in September will soon be announced with even more opportunities to support this tight-knit business community.
“Precincts like Racecourse Road aren’t just a place to work or shop for local residents, they’re also a destination for visitors,” Cr Schrinner said.

Cr Schrinner said following positive feedback in Racecourse Road and Rosalie, the program will be expanded later this year.
