What does Ronald Reagan’s trickle-down economic theory have to do with monogrammed jeans? They are both featuring on a young Brisbane designer’s exclusive new clothing line, God Knows Store.

Will Archer knew that a traditional career pathway was never going to be for him.

“I couldn’t do school, I couldn’t do uni…” Mr Archer said, “So I had to think of something else to do, and I thought, I can probably start a business.”

“Long story short, I realised I am probably capable than more than I would have been if I had gone to uni.”

Mr Archer has ADHD, which seems to be a superpower when it comes to coming up with ideas, saying designs “just pop into my head”.

When he was 17, he started designing clothes on the metaverse, a 3D online space which functions via virtual and augmented reality, and now has decided to make the leap into making physical clothing.

His unique clothes make a statement, from a puffer jacket with a print of the Wall Street stock trading floor, to the T-shirt lampooning Reagan’s “trickle-down economics”.

On the website he writes: “The idea was great in theory, there was just one thing this plan did not take into account… GREED.”
