With the excitement of the Holy Spirit School Spring Fair this September rapidly approaching, organisers have announced The Ultimate Raffle, offering 17 prizes with a total value of over $18,000.
The raffle features a variety of standout items, including a stunning 2.25-carat diamond tennis bracelet and diamond earrings valued at $9,800, a $5,000 voucher for shopping at Merthyr Village, and a luxurious staycation at Peppers Broadbeach valued at $1,500, just to name a few.
The Spring Fair on September 8 promises a diverse array of stalls, mouthwatering multicultural cuisine, games, a junior sports zone, exhilarating rides, raffles, auctions, pop-up bars, and live music.
Each class and their parents will be running their own stalls, and Holy Spirit Grade 6 students, twins Olivia and Siana Delgado Garcia, will be helping with the Middle School bake sale.
Olivia said her favourite part of the fair in previous years was the petting zoo and the teacup rides – she said: “All of the baby animals were really cute”.
Siana said her favourite part was “spending time with my friends and family and eating lots of good food!”
But most exciting for the students may be the teacher ‘dunk tank’ – Olivia and Siana cheekily said they are most looking forward to dunking their teachers at the fair.
Principal Michael Hopkinson acknowledged the vital role the Spring Fair plays in supporting Holy Spirit School’s growing infrastructure and academic programs.
“We are specifically raising funds for new shelving in the library, installing air conditioning in the school hall, adding refrigerated water stations and lockers in the middle school and funding towards initial lite and multi-lite programs as part of the curriculum,” he said.
“The generous donations from our local community help us achieve these goals, significantly enriching our students’ overall experience.”
Mr Hopkinson believes what makes the Fair truly special is that it is not just about Holy Spirit; it is a fantastic community event for all of New Farm.
“The Fair is a bi-annual event shared with another local school, New Farm State School, and it exemplifies the strong spirit of cooperation and unity within our community,” Mr Hopkinson said.
The fair couldn’t happen without their generous sponsors: Presenting Partner Ray White New Farm, Merthyr Village, Urban List, Village Voice, Awakened Lifestyles, Hundt Law, BOQ New Farm, Calexico, Snap Laundromat, Sealy, Brisbane Quarter, Felons Brewing Co, and numerous other local supporters.
There will be 17 lucky winners of the raffle – don’t miss your chance to win an amazing prize while supporting a great cause!
