Years of trust behind Ray White success

Nicholas Given, Principal of Ray White Clayfield and a partner in The Ray White Collective, says he owes much of his career to Matt Lancashire.

Nicholas began at Ray White New Farm in May 2011, spending nearly twelve years working alongside Matt.

He started as his sales associate for three years before working his way up through the business.

“I owe almost everything I have to him,” Nicholas says.

“He taught me the basics of real estate, how to follow things meticulously, my strong work ethic. Pretty much everything I have learned, I learned from Matt,” he says.

For the past three years, Nicholas has led the Clayfield office on Sandgate Road, but he and Matt continue to work closely, supporting each other and playing a central role in the day-to-day business of Ray White Clayfield.

Their relationship, however, extends well beyond the office.

After nearly 15 years of working together, the two have shared countless personal and professional milestones.

“When you’re in business with someone for that long, you go through the chapters of life with them, and it becomes pretty unbreakable,” Nicholas says.

“We went through the floods in New Farm, through Covid, through all of the scary times, and that makes the relationship very dear to me,” he says.

It’s a partnership built on trust, resilience and respect, one that continues to shape not only their business success but also their lives beyond real estate.
